Зато завезли COVID Трекер. Да-да, то самое приложение, основанное на системе отслеживания контактов больных коронавирусом, которое владельцам смартфонов Huawei и Honor поначалу было недоступно. Аппарат сам предложил мне поучаствовать в программе, а потом дал приложение для загрузки. Не сказать, что я этому как-то особенно обрадовался, но было неожиданно узнать, что теперь COVID Трекер доступен и на моём смартфоне, хотя раньше этого не было.

Поначалу, когда я узнал, что смартфонам Huawei и Honor больше не светит нормальных обновлений Android, я пытался оправдать Huawei, убеждая себя, что она сможет поддерживать свои аппараты и без Google. Ну, а что? Её собственные прошивки более чем функциональны и превосходят по части доступных возможностей чистый Android в несколько раз.

Разработчикам Huawei ничто не мешало развивать свою прошивку, идя вразрез со стоковой операционкой. Ведь долгое время им удавалось предлагать многие поистине уникальные функции, которые выгодно отличали фирменные аппараты бренда от устройств конкурентов. Однако в случае с Magic UI 4.0 что-то изменилось. Что – не знаю. Но назвать это обновлением у меня не поворачивается язык. Наверное, Harmony OS, на развитие которой бросили все силы, получится и впрямь чем-то невероятным.

Решение частых проблем

Увы, не всегда внедрение Магиск Менеджера проходит быстро и легко. Но не стоит отчаиваться, если возникают какие-то неполадки. Большинство из них решается всего в несколько кликов.

Что делать, если Magisk не устанавливается

Программа может не устанавливаться по ряду обширных причин

Определить фактор неполадки не всегда удается с первого раза, поэтому в первую очередь обратите внимание на такие моменты:

1. На устройстве уже присутствуют рут-права. В таком случае, Manager не установится. Удалите SuperSU и повторите процедуру.
2. Телефон не отвечает указанным требованиям. Бутлоадер не разблокирован или версия операционной системы ниже Андроид 5.0. Обновитесь и активируйте загрузчик.

Периодически перестает работать рут

Если вы стали замечать некорректное функционирование рут-прав, для начала просто переустановите Магиск. Возможно, в ходе начальной процедуры вы допустили определенные оплошности, из-за которых теперь режим Суперпользователя работает с перебоями.

The main goal of these root methods is to manage which installed apps have root access. Not all apps are made to have access root. System apps like Google, Gmail, and others will not have the benefit of having root privileges. There are apps that are designed specifically keeping the root in mind.

When you install this kind of apps with Magisk root your device, then you will see a prompt from these apps for root access. The prompt is poped within the app to make sure only required app gets the permission and don’t want other apps to have root access (this may lead to insecure setup and the device may be compromised by malware).

You can even choose how these apps have the root access either permanently or temporary. Thus making sure only allow the trusted app to have root access.

All Rooting methods offer very much similar functionality, but Magisk and the way you can use any application without any issues makes it stand out from other root methods. Suppose having SuperSU and want to run a banking app is not possible, unrooting is the only way to use the bank app again.

Every time you want to use the app, it’s not possible to unroot the device. Q8, Q16 or Q16-HDRI?

Versions with Q8 in the name are 8 bits-per-pixel component (e.g. 8-bit red, 8-bit green, etc.), whereas, Q16 are 16 bits-per-pixel component.
A Q16 version permits you to read or write 16-bit images without losing precision but requires twice as much resources as the Q8 version.

It’s absolutely safe for the device to be rooted, the majority of people using a rooted device never need higher access than what they are given. In Windows Administrator access is only needed for certain actions and this is the same with the Linux as well.

In Windows, the privilege is called Administrator access and Superuser (SU) or root access in Linux.

So two major platforms with different names for the same thing. The root access is not needed during regular usage, its when we need to play and change things in the high level, root access is granted.

It’s easy in Windows if you have the Administrator password. Microsoft will tie the first account created to Administrator privileges after Windows is installed. All the regular actions will be done under user account and it’s only when you doing something beyond regular account limitations, admin access is granted.

In the Linux platform installing certain apps and performing certain actions, that’s when you are required to give temporary access to the device so that the action is performed. Android is a highly specified version of the Linux (Android uses Linux Kernel).

So there are additional layers of security features put into these devices by Google. So even for temporary actions gaining root access is harder in Android devices than a Linux device.
